Four Flies is a Rome-based record label and music publisher specializing in vintage Italian soundtracks and pop music (late 1950s to early 1980s), as well as brand new music with a cinematic feel. Like archaeologists of Italian film and library music, they go to great lengths to rescue from oblivion previously unreleased or lesser-known pieces by great composers, making them available to listeners everywhere. They are not interested in music from the past just for its own sake. What fascinates them the most about the past is its impact on the present. And that’s also why -alongside their vintage releases- they put out DJ remixes and music by contemporary artists who rework the past into something fresh.
