BIOGRAPHY

Tha Trickaz is a Paris-based producer duo, Pho & Iraize, who have been shaping the French Bass music scene since 2005. Known for their signature blend of electronic music, Trap, and Hip-Hop infused with cinematic and Asian influences, they have contributed to films, video games, commercials, and documentaries while collaborating with top-tier French Hip-Hop artists like Gazo, Kaaris or Freeze Corleone but also international artists like Central Cee. They have also remixed tracks for renowned artists such as Cassius, Apashe, and Wax Tailor.

Their versatility has earned them placements in major projects, including the track “Stiffs,” featured in Elie Wajeman’s film Un Médecin de Nuit (Cannes 2020 official selection), starring Vincent Macaigne. Their energetic, sample-driven Hip-Hop sound perfectly complements the film’s nocturnal thriller aesthetic. Meanwhile, their orchestral and epic production “Trap Requiem,” a collaboration with Apashe, was chosen for the trailer of Eric Andre’s movie Bad Trip.

Pho has also made a mark in film scoring, contributing to Le Premier Jour du Reste de Ta Vie (nominated for Best Original Score at the Césars 2007) and Le Siffleur.

Tha Trickaz’s dynamic sound thrives in rhythm-based video games. Their intricate production “LGND” is featured in the final level of Beat Stomper, showcasing their signature detailed breaks and edits, while their music also drives the action in Pistol Whip. Their track “Dark Ronin” was featured in a Rainbow Six Siege trailer, highlighting their distinctive fusion of Bass music and Asian influences.

Beyond entertainment, they have lent their sound design expertise to major brands, crafting audio for the RC92 rugby team at the Accor Arena and a Pepsi commercial. Their track “Linea,” produced for rapper Ashe 22, was featured in the Netflix series FURIES.

This year, they contributed the score for the French documentary Colombie : La Paix Confisquée by Christophe Astruc for France TV. Their music has also been featured in advertising campaigns for Quiksilver, Renault, Orange, and Nokia.

From film to gaming, from Hip-Hop to orchestral compositions, Tha Trickaz continue to push boundaries, cementing their reputation as pioneers of genre-blending electronic music.
